Petition to the House of Commons
Whereas:
- Russian opposition leader, Alexey Navalny, was poisoned with a chemical weapon (Novichok) in Russia on August 20, 2020;
- An independent investigation group called "Bellingcat" has identified the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) as being responsible for this attempted murder; and
- Alexey Navalny has been arrested, after his recovery, based on false accusations.
We, the undersigned, citizens and residents of Canada, call upon the House of Commons to:
1. Take measures against the people in the Russian government who are affiliated with the attempted murder of Alexey Navalny; and
2. Make a public statement with a demand to release Alexey Navalny from Russian prison.
