Petition to the Government of Canada

Whereas:
  • The Coat of Arms of Canada is found on all official Government of Canada buildings and documents;
  • The Coat of Arms represents the founding peoples of Canada; and
  • The Coat of Arms of Canada does not reflect the contributions of the Indigenous People of Canada as co-founders.
We, the undersigned, Citizens of Canada, call upon the Government of Canada to revise the Coat of Arms of Canada to include representation of the Indigenous peoples of Canada (First Nations, Inuit and Metis) as co-founders of Canada.
