Petition to the Government of Canada

Whereas:
  • Terri-Lynne McClintic was convicted of first-degree murderer in the horrific abduction, rape and murder of eight-year-old Tori Stafford;
  • Terri-Lynne McClintic was moved from a secure facility to a healing lodge without fences, and where the government has confirmed the presence of children;
  • Terri-Lynne McClintic is not eligible for parole until 2031; and
  • The Okimaw Ochi Healing Lodge lacks the necessary security measures to ensure the safety of local citizens in Maple Creek, Saskatchewan, or the surrounding areas.
We, the undersigned, citizens and residents of Canada, call upon the Government of Canada to exercise its moral, legal and political authority to ensure this decision is reversed and cannot be allowed to happen again in other cases.
