Petition to the House of Commons
- Pakistan is one of the most intolerant countries in the world with regards to freedom of religion;
- In 1947, Hindus constituted over 27 percent of the population of Sindh, and now they constitute less than 7 percent;
- 75 percent of Hindus in Pakistan have been coerced to leave their ancestral home;
- In recent years, the violence against Sindhi Hindus has increased in ways such as extortion, attacks on places of worship, and forced conversion of Hindu girls to Islam;
- 20 or more Hindu girls are abducted and forced to convert to Islam every month in Pakistan; and
- Most of the girls are under 16 years old and as young as 11, and, after the forced conversion and marriage, are prohibited from contacting their families.
