As of January 22, 2019, the e-petition system will allow petitioners to select whether their petition will remain open for signature on the website for 30, 60, 90 or 120 days. E-petitions initiated prior to this date will remain open for signature for 120 days.
An email address associated with the Government of Canada or the Parliament of Canada may not be used to create, support, or sign an e-petition.
E-petitions can be signed for 120 days following their publication on the e-petitions website. This section provides you with e-petitions that are currently open for signature. To access e-petitions that are no longer open for signature, please click on "All petitions" tab.
There is no obligation on the part of any Member of Parliament to sponsor an e-petition. Neither the House of Commons nor any Member of Parliament sponsoring a petition endorses the views or information contained in any e-petition posted on this website. Moreover, they do not make any representations about, or assume any liability for, any of the information set out in any e-petition. No e-petition posted on this website is protected by parliamentary privilege until presented by a Member of Parliament to the House of Commons.
