Petition to the Government of Canada
Whereas:
- The Prime Minister's Youth Council is a non-partisan body that advises the Prime Minister on policy and issues pertaining to young Canadians;
- Records from the council's meetings with members of the Government of Canada are not made publicly available; and
- Youth groups and young Canadians have no mechanism to review the council's suggestions, provide their own recommendations and hold the Minister for Youth accountable.
We, the undersigned, Youth of Canada, call upon the Government of Canada to ensure that the records from non-partisan Prime Minister Youth Council are made publicly available and that a clear path to offer broader input is established.
