Petition to the Government of Canada
Whereas:
- Canada Post's Corporation's mandate is to provide public service accessible to all Canadians;
- That in order to access postal services the residents of the District of Katepwa must currently travel to more than five different Canada Post offices in towns up to 25 kilometers from the District of Katepwa; and
- Over 90 per cent of surveyed residents in the District of Katepwa indicate that having a Dealer Post Office in the district was important or very important.
We, the undersigned, residents of the District of Katepwa, call upon the Government of Canada to direct Canada Post Corporation to partner with the District of Katepwa to establish a Dealer Post Office in the community and to assign a postal code to the District of Katepwa.
