Original language of petition: English

Petition to the House of Commons

Whereas:
  • The inflated cost of living is impacting ability to afford a reasonable standard or living;
  • Inflated fuel prices are making it hard to meet the needs of life such as getting to work and family;
  • High fuel prices are making it difficult to impossible to get out for personal enjoyment;
  • Inflated food prices are making it difficult for some and blatantly impossible for other citizens to obtain healthy food; and
  • Ever climbing prices of homes either by purchase or rental makes finding suitable shelter difficult.
We, the undersigned, citizens and residents of Canada, call upon the House of Commons to:
1. Take effort to decrease the cost of fuel and housing;
2. Freeze any further inflation;
3. Freeze or reduce carbon tax as necessary to achieve 2021 fuel prices;
4. Secure a reasonable source for fuel not likely to cause such high prices; and
5. Freeze climbing house rates and create programs to increase housing availability.
