Petition to the Prime Minister
Whereas:
- Canada is in imminent need of a Governor General; and
- Such person should embody values at the core of Canadian democracy through their public service and demonstrated ability to live and guide others in developing and practising those values.
We, the undersigned, all citizens of Canada, caring that we bequeath a better nation to our succeeding generations, and respectfully, call upon the Prime Minister to appoint Justice Murray Sinclair to the Viceregal position of Governor General of Canada, forthwith.
