Petition to the House of Commons
Whereas:
- Brunei are set to pass a law that will punish homosexuality by death;
- Canada supports the human rights of LGBTQ+ people at home and abroad; and
- The prime minister claimed he "will fight for [LGBTQ+ people], and [he] will fight with [LGBTQ+ people]" when accepting an award for his LGBTQ advocacy.
We, the undersigned, citizens of Canada, call upon the Government of Canada to publicly condemn the persecution of LGBTQ+ people in Brunei.
