Petition to the House of Commons
- Administrative Segregation is known to worsen the mental health of inmates;
- In 2011, a United Nations committee deemed the practice of Solitary Confinement (also known as Administrative Segregation) as a form of a torture and called upon countries to ban the practice;
- The use of Administrative Segregation has already been in decline since 2015; and
- In January of 2018, the British Columbia Supreme Court ruled indefinite Solitary Confinement (also known as Administrative Segregation) unconstitutional.
