e-1252 (Pelvic floor dysfunction)

E-petition
Initiated by Desiree Norwood from Medicine Hat, Alberta

Original language of petition: English

Petition to the Minister of Health

Whereas:
  • The Canadian Healthcare system is critically outdated when it comes to women's pelvic health;
  • 83% of college educated women do not know about the pelvic floor muscles and the role they play in pregnancy and delivery; and
  • 1 in 3 women suffer from pelvic floor dysfunction.
We, the undersigned, Citizens of Canada, call upon the Minister of Health to ensure all women have access to education and resources to prevent pelvic floor dysfunction in all stages of their lives.
