WHEREAS:

• Staff of the Non-Public Funds (NPF) provide vital programs and services which Canadian Forces members, veterans, and their families on bases across the country count on;

• Despite the critical work they do, these employees are among the lowest paid, earning far less than those employed in the core federal public service doing the same jobs; and

• Staff of the Non-Public Funds (NPF) do not have a consistent national pay grid, meaning employees doing the same jobs in different regions earn different wages.

• THEREFORE: we, the undersigned, residents of Canada, call upon the Minister of the National Defence and President of the Treasury Board to work together with the Canadian Forces Morale and Welfare Services (CFMWS) to ensure that staff of the Non-Public Funds (NPF) have access to fair wages, an equitable pay scale, and good, secure jobs.
